Mpilo Mseleku

Mpilo Mseleku is a 3rd-Year Philosophy Student at the University of Edinburgh. He is also a developing artist, working in the mediums of photography, writing and filmmaking. Having lived in South Africa - a cultural mixing pot with a complex history of prejudice and segregation - before moving to Scotland, he has always had an intense fascination with the concept of identity. Questions about identity have fuelled his academic and artistic pursuits as arguably the major driving force. That The Place I Call Home deals intimately with such notions and experiences in the photographic medium is what attracted Mpilo to becoming part of the team exhibiting this work - a role he relishes.
