Marc Arkless

Born in Pen-Coed, South Wales, Marc Arkless attended Hornsey College of Art and Swansea College of Art, graduating in 1983. His work was first exhibited at the Photographer’s Corridor, Cardiff University, which was organised by The Ffotogallery in 1982. Later he became a Departmental Photographer at Cardiff University Department of Earth Science between 1987-89 before working at Ffotogallery from 1991.

Marc Arkless is the Exhibitions Manager, working with the Director and artists to oversee the presentation of various exhibitions and projects. He is also a collector of found American photographs and presented ‘This is Not my Beautiful House’ as part of Diffusion: Cardiff International Festival of Photography’s 2015 edition with the theme of ‘Looking for America’.
